We also have an office at The Neale House, Mountbellew, County Galway which provides our services to clients throughout Galway and Roscommon.

OUR PEOPLE

Michele Mellotte BCL

Managing Partner

Michele is originally from Mountbellew, Co Galway and graduated from University College Dublin in 1975 with a BCL qualifying as a Solicitor in 1977.
Since qualification Michele has worked full-time in law building up a sizable legal practice covering all areas of the law and working extensively in litigation covering licensing matters, family law, road traffic matters, general litigation, personal injuries and medical negligence. Michele also has a significant conveyancing and probate practice and has worked extensively with the Commission To Enquire Into Child Abuse.
Michele brings a wealth of experience to the practice and opened our Mountbellew office on a full-time basis in 1999 and attends there on a regular basis.

John O'Carroll BCL

Partner

A partner within the firm, following in the footsteps of his father Aiden O’Carroll, John too has developed particular knowledge and proficiency in Conveyancing. He holds a diploma in Property Tax from the Law Society to enhance his capabilities in the area. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in Probate Practice and Tax and in furtherance of that expertise, in November 2010 he was awarded a Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Law Society of Ireland.

Mairin Stronge

Partner

Mairin Stronge qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 and became a Partner in the firm in 2005. She represented the Law Society in 1995 as one of a team of two in the Louis M Brown International Client Counseling Competition, where Ireland came second to Australia. Since qualifying, she has obtained a Diploma in Property Tax in July 2001, a Diploma in Commercial Law in 2009 and also became an Accredited Mediator in 2007.

Conveyancing has been a significant part of her practice with a client base including individual clients but also larger Developers. Her experience includes Commercial, Banking, General Conveyancing, Leasing, Tenancies and Easements.
She also acts in Plaintiff and Defence litigation, both general Civil, Commercial and Family Law.

Martin Reidy B.Comm., LLB

Solicitor

Martin qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 after a career with the Irish Defence Forces. He joined the practice in 2006 and has extensive experience in the area of banking and property law. Martin also has an in depth knowledge of property tax law, inheritance and gift tax and is an Accredited Tax Consultant with the Irish Tax Institute since 2012.
